Morrow + Lorraine to attend COP26

04.11.2021

Members of our team will be travelling to Glasgow to attend the COP26 Cities, Regions and Built Environment Day on 11 November.

We recognise COP26 to be a landmark moment for the built environment’s transition to net zero and wish to glean insights on the ground and in-person.

“For the first time at a COP there is a real focus on the impact the built environment has on carbon emission targets which, in recent years, has galvanized an industry call to action for full decarbonization by 2050. This is an exciting moment and has the potential to set the practice and industry’s agendas for the next 50 years.”
Steph Crombie, Head of Sustainability and contributor to Architects Climate Action Network.

The summit is described as the world’s ‘last, best hope‘ of meeting the Paris goal of limiting the earth’s warming to just 1.5°C. Following the November conference, Morrow + Lorraine will soon launch Project S – the practice’s most ambitious roadmap for delivering projects to net zero standards by 2030.
