The original façade of the mews was retained to conserve and respect the existing context, whilst the remainder of the property, including a two-storey courtyard building in the rear garden of the adjoining property were demolished to make way for a new, contemporary, energy-efficient and inclusive building.

The design can be understood as a series of landscaped terraces, the green rooftops offering the residents, neighbours and wildlife the benefit of biodiversity. The green rooftops are irrigated by harvesting rainwater.
